Com a doa\u00e7\u00e3o do terreno em 1754, sua constru\u00e7\u00e3o come\u00e7ou em 1802. Atualmente a igreja conserva suas caracter\u00edsticas originais com detalhes barrocos e neocl\u00e1ssicos.
